SUMMARY:Wetlands Day
DESCRIPTION:Wetlands Day is a time for us to celebrate the importance of wetlands within our watershed.  Wetlands are one of the most endangered ecosystems in the world due to draining and bulldozing them for development.  They are so important to a healthy watershed. They filter water prior to entering streams\, rivers\, and ground water.  They are also home to a diverse set of life including amphibians\, reptiles\, insects\, birds\, plants\, and trees.  Approximately 40 % of plant and animal species live or breed in wetlands.  World Wetlands Day \nJoin the Great Marsh Institute in Pennsylvania over Zoom to celebrate World Wetlands Day. Learn more and register HERE.
